Show Information
May 20th, 2011
presented by White Elephant Burlesque and Cosplay Burlesque

also featuring: Arson, Crimson Destine, Kriv, Luna Chase

special guests: Coveilance Dance Project

White Elephant Burlesque and Cosplay Burlesque joined forces for a second year at Steampunk World's Fair after a successful first union.

Representing Cosplay Burlesque, Murder Nurse portrayed Drusilla from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Luna Chase was Death from the Sandman comics, and Kriv was Freddy Krueger from the Nightmare on Elm Street series. Spookey Velvet was an evil needle-happy doctor; Lily Stitches and Betsy Radical paid tribute to the saloon western-glam aesthetic of steampunk; and Victoria Belmont, Holly Ween's cosplaying sister, was Edward Scissorhands. Madison Bartholomew was a 60's-inspired space traveler and matched wits and whips with Indiana Jones-inspired Arson.

Gretchen Violetta and Viktor Devonne were a construct and its creator while Femme Fae la Butche learned the finer points in Eastern dance from Madame Jinx. Dolly Shot showed love for the unsung rock star Nikola Tesla, and Alice Tatters provided further character study in the optimism of a rag doll.

Dublin O'Shea did his best to impress the ladies of the court (Fae, Crimson Destine) through flips and somersaults, and Viktor Devonne closed the show with Coveilance Dance Project with an energetic fan routine.

The Steampunk World's Fair was in its second year, and amusements included Walter Sickert and the Army of Broken Toys, This Way to the Egress, Jake von Slatt, Eli August, and Professor Elemental.
